Donald Trump rescinds White House invitation to Stephen Curry, Warriors

National Basketball Association great LeBron James bought his dunking skills to Twitter on Saturday, slamming Donald Trump over the president's attempt to make it seem like he had disinvited James' fellow National Basketball Association star Stephen Curry to the White House.

According to Richard Deitsch of Sports Illustrated, James' tweet has become one of his most popular.

Speaking Friday at a campaign rally for Alabama senator Luther Strange, Trump veered into the debate over NFL players kneeling for the national anthem - a movement that gained national attention thanks to former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick. It's hard to say because I don't know exactly what we're going to do.

So basically Trump tried to dump Curry after Curry dumped him.

Curry had said this week he didn't want the Warriors to visit the White House because of Trump.

"The only thing you could do better, is if you see it, even if it's just one player, leave the stadium".

But Cavaliers superstar James retorted emphatically, tweeting: "U bum @StephenCurry30 already said he ain't going! Going to White House was a great honour until you showed up!"

James posted his tweet about two hours after Trump's was posted.

That said, there are likely many other players in the league that hold the same stance as Beal, James, and Curry that have no desire in dealing with anything that involves president Trump. "You know, so you get a chance to see it and at the same time, I feel like it is a chance for you to go and air your grievances with the top man".

Durant, the Finals MVP, said last month he does not want to celebrate the team's title at the White House with Trump. "I don't respect who's in office right now".

"I'm going because it's the United States of America, and I'd rather not live anywhere else except this country", said first baseman Anthony Rizzo, who was the player rep who addressed the media in January after the Obama visit.

Earlier in the year, New England Patriot's Tom Brady skipped the celebratory White House visit, citing 'personal family matters,' but Trump did not comment on Brady's decision.
