The iPhone 8 launch in London was... muted

We had no issue sending emails from an Outlook.com and Office 365 accounts on an iPhone running iOS 11 today, but your mileage may vary.

With the new iOS 11, many users complained that switching between apps is not as easy as it was on iOS 10.

It's been possible to record your screen on iOS for some time, using a computer via a cable, but iOS 11 has built screen recording into the software itself. As of now, numerous beta users have come across some of the secret features. Still, this kind of UI change is an annoyance - Apple just made turning networks off to save battery life more hard, in the name of making an Apple Pencil easier to use.

So, if you need to completely turn off the WiFi, one has to do it by heading towards the settings menu.

iOS 11 is live, and has a host of new features for iPhone and iPad users.

Apple has revamped its Maps app in iOS 11, as Cult of Mac says. You can check out the now removed 3D Touch gesture that accessed the app switcher by clicking the video at the top of the story. Once you take a screenshot a preview window comes in the bottom left of the screen. "You get much the same when navigating a mall", it adds, "only without the terminals or security checkpoints".

This is bad UI design for a number of reasons, but mostly because it might mislead users into believing they had deactivated their wi-fi and Bluetooth while both services remain on - something which shouldn't happen.

Although WiFi and Bluetooth can be switched off via the phone's settings, this just doesn't really seem all that practical to us.

Apparently, this is because the company wants both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth to be available such that iPhone owners could continue using AirDrop, AirPlay, Apple Pencil, Apple Watch, Location Services, and other features.

The function comes into effect when the device is hooked up to a auto through Bluetooth, the website says, or it can "autodetect when you're driving based on your location and accelerometers".
