Injured In London Underground Train Blast

Scotland Yard has declared a terrorist incident following the blast, which it said was caused by an improvised explosive device.

"Terrorist attack reported on Friday at Parsons Green tube station in west London, British police stated that its related to a 'terrorist incident".

Natasha Wills, the Assistant Director of Operations at the London Ambulance Service, said, "We were called at 8:20 a.m.to reports of an incident at Parsons Green underground station".

Pictures and video, purporting to be from the train carriage, were posted of flames coming out of a carrier bag containing a white bucket. Meanwhile, British Prime Minister Theresa May said that despite the terror attack, the country's threat level will remain at "severe".

Eyewitnesses outside the station reported seeing people with facial injuries.

A TfL spokeswoman told Metro.co.uk: 'The District Line has been suspended between Earls Court and Wimbledon due to a security alert.

Most of the injuries were due to "flash burns", while others were wounded by the stampede as passengers ran out of the station in panic, he said.

Police are investigating a bucket enclosed in a plastic carrier bag left in the doorway of the tube carriage.

A witness told Reuters that there were six ambulances, fire engines and a helicopter at the Parsons Green station. Initial examination by explosives experts led them to conclude it was "viable", meaning the device was meant to explode in a more forceful way.

London Mayor Sadiq Khan appealed for calm, saying the city "will never be intimidated or defeated by terrorism". The exact number of injured was not disclosed.

Large numbers of police, ambulances, and fire trucks are in the area, which has been cordoned off by armed police officers.

"Within five seconds my whole day had changed, I thought maybe my life had changed".

U.S President, Donald Trump condemned the attack, calling the attackers as "loser terrorist".
