Liverpool have been interested in hiring the services of Arsenal star Alex-Oxlade Chamberlain in the summer transfer window.

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte wants to booster his midfield and he has identified Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as a good player that will help his campaign.

And the Mirror say Arsenal are facing the prospect of having to sell Oxlade-Chamberlain before the end of the summer transfer window.

The Ox has made it clear he will reject any offers from Arsenal - and that has obviously alerted the majority of the Premier League.

Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil are also entering the final years of their contracts but Wenger said last week of the trio: "We always hope, even now, that we can extend the contracts of [Alexis] Sanchez, Chamberlain and [Mesut] Ozil".

Liverpool and Chelsea have been strongly linked to him, and with the Blues desperate for reinforcements in their squad, it seems to be the case that a move to Chelsea could suit both parties.

Arsenal, though, fear that he will turn down the latest offer after already telling Wenger that he will not sign a new deal and, as reported by Telegraph Sport, Chelsea have launched a £35million bid.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is reluctant to allow the auxiliary wing back depart for one of his side's title rivals, but knows that any chances of keeping Oxlade-Chamberlain are fading by the day.

It looks like Arsenal have now chose to cash-in rather than lose the England worldwide on a free transfer in 12 months time and Chelsea and been battling with Liverpool over his signature.

Liverpool host Arsenal in the Premier League on Sunday evening following Chelsea's match against Everton at Stamford Bridge.
