Draymond Green Faces Lawsuit: 'I Still Feel His Hand on My Jaw'

"A new lawsuit will be filed tomorrow against Golden State Warriors basketball player Draymond Green, alleging assault, battery and related claims based on his alleged acts of violence against a young man and woman", Bloom wrote.

Green, for his part, is confident that his legal team will be able to resolve the issue in short order.

Last July, then-Michigan student-athlete Jermaine Edmondson got into a heated exchange with Green at a night club in East Lansing, Mich. He left East Lansing shortly after the incident. Green reached a plea deal in that case and avoided jail time just in time to participate in the Rio Olympics last summer.

California attorney Lisa Bloom said in a news release on Monday that she is filing a lawsuit against Green on Tuesday.

This lawsuit relates to an incident that occurred in East Lansing, Michigan over a year ago, for which Draymond paid a noise violation fine.

The suit claims that Edmonson and his girlfriend's lives have been "severely impacted" by the incident. "I still feel his hand on my jaw", Edmonson said at the press conference. There are nights when I wake up crying.

Green's public relations firm released a statement Tuesday, referring to the lawsuit's allegations as "misinformation". Williams said one of those men also choked her against a wall. Green was arrested, but did not serve jail time, instead paying a $500 fine and $60 jail restitution.

Bloom said the accusers "demand accountability and an apology from Mr".

According to Bloom, when the couple ran into Green again the next night, Edmondson approached and "told him last night did not have to happen".
